AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps is an opportunity to make a big difference in your life and in the lives of those around you. It's a chance to apply your skills and ideals toward helping others and meeting critical needs in the community. Each year, AmeriCorps offers 75,000 opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups. AmeriCorps members gain new skills and experiences, and find the tremendous satisfaction that comes from helping others. In addition, full-time members who complete their service earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $4,725 to pay for college, graduate school, or to pay back qualified student loans; members who serve part-time receive a partial Award. Some AmeriCorps members may also receive a modest living allowance during their term of service.
City Year
City Year unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world. As tutors, mentors and role models, these diverse young leaders make a difference in the lives of children, and transform schools and neighborhoods in 19 U.S. locations and one in Johannesburg, South Africa. Just as important, during their year of service corps members develop civic leadership skills they can use throughout a lifetime of community service.
Coro
Coro trains ethical, diverse civic leaders nationwide. Coro leaders develop skills; master tools needed to engage and empower communities; gain experience in government, business, labor and not-for-profit community organizations; and participate in special community and political problem solving processes.
Education Pioneers
Education Pioneers' summer Fellowship Program grooms select graduate school students from business, law, policy, education, and other disciplines to leverage their skills and experience to address our nation's most critical urban education issues. The Fellowship Program features high-level work experience as a project consultant, training on complex urban education issues, access to local education industry experts and collaboration with a cohort of professionals from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
New Sector Alliance
New Sector Alliance offers students and recent graduates opportunities to make a difference in their communities while developing professional and leadership skills. New Sector Alliance recruits, trains, and supports diverse top talent to deliver consulting services and capacity to clients, helping organizations better serve their constituents.
Teach For America
Teach For America recruits outstanding recent college graduates from all backgrounds and career interests to commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools. Teach For America provides the training and ongoing support necessary to ensure their success as teachers in low-income communities, enabling corps members see firsthand that educational inequity is solvable and gain a grounded understanding of how to solve it.
