Sandy Fernandes
Events Manager
As New Profit's Events Manager, Sandy contributes to the success of the Action Tank's convening strategy. She oversees logistics for the annual Gathering of Leaders, including the invitation process, collateral development, venue details, and relationships with external contractors, in addition to managing the details of other events hosted during the year.
Customer service and satisfaction aren't just catchphrases for Sandy; they are words she seeks to embody. She is motivated by opportunities to interact with and get to know New Profit's event attendees, and strives to exceed their expectations in every possible scenario. Sandy also loves learning about people's accomplishments as well as their struggles; their experiences inspire her own growth and development.

Before joining New Profit, Sandy worked for Linkage, Inc. where she managed its Customer and Event Services department for more than ten years. While at Linkage, Sandy wore many hats. Her roles ranged from that of marketing manager and sales support, to operations and on-site logistics. Throughout her career, Sandy has managed and developed multiple teams, and her proudest accomplishments are the promotion and succession of many of her staff members.

Outside the office, Sandy enjoys walking along the beach, playing her guitar, and entertaining family and friends at her home in Cape Ann. She speaks fluent Portuguese, and is currently learning to speak French. Sandy is also a volunteer at a local home for the elderly where she enjoys listening to the wise perspectives of the residents and their stories of times gone by.
