BELL's mission is to dramatically increase the academic achievements, self-esteem, and life opportunities of children living in low-income, urban communities. BELL provides academic and social enrichment in urban after-school and summer programs to elementary school children (BELL scholars) ages 6-12.

Citizen Schools operates a national network of apprenticeship programs for middle school students, connecting adult volunteers to young people in hands-on learning projects after school. Students develop the academic and leadership skills they need to do well in school, get into college, and become leaders in their careers and in their communities.

Computers for Youth partners with high-poverty middle schools to improve the educational resources in students' homes, enhance parent-child interaction around learning, and help teachers connect classroom learning with the home.

Freelancers Union meets the needs and concerns of America's growing independent workforce through public advocacy, information, portable benefits, and other services. Freelancers Union provides low-cost insurance products, and helps connect members to each other to find jobs, trade advice, and sign up for advocacy opportunities.

Girls For A Change inspires and supports urban middle and high school girls to lead social change. Girls For A Change empowers teams of urban girls by providing girls with professional female role models, leadership training, and a safe haven where girls can take risks, gain resources, and build resiliency to solve social problems in their communities.

Kids Voting USA's mission is to secure the future of democracy by preparing young people to be educated, engaged voters. Kids Voting teaches students about citizenship, civic responsibility, democracy, and the importance of political participation by combining innovative classroom activities with an authentic voting experience.

Teach For America recruits diverse, outstanding college graduates to commit two years to teach in low-income urban and rural communities, and become life-long advocates to expand opportunities for children.

Upwardly Global supports foreign-born professionals by providing introductions to professional networks, teaching job-search strategies, decoding corporate America's customs and practices, and helping employers conduct interviews across cultures.
