Investment Selection
Through our investment selection process, we seek to identify innovative social entrepreneurs and pathbreaking organizations that change the lives of the people they serve and effectively tackle some of our nation's most urgent problems in education, workforce development, public health, and poverty.
Letter of Inquiry Submission Form
Thank you for your interest. Our current LOI submission period is now closed.

Letters of Inquiry were collected through November 15th and will be reviewed in batches through the end of 2013. Each review cycle will take between three and six months. New Profit's Investment Selection team will notify organizations when their application has progressed in phase of consideration.

Selection Process
New Profit's investment selection cycle is a process that meaningfully engages candidate organizations to best determine which ones fit both our investment criteria and fund priorities. Through this process, we aim to not only assess the potential of each organization for outstanding social impact, but also to help these organizations hone their visions and ability to communicate their ambitious goals.

Our investment selection cycle includes three distinct rounds-Pipeline, Screening, and Due Diligence. This rigorous process provides us with the opportunity to learn about each candidate organization, discern whether each organization is the right fit for our portfolio, and advance only those organizations most likely to receive investment to subsequent rounds.

Selection Criteria
Organizations that we select to fund have demonstrated impressive track records of performance, strong appetites for growth, and high potential for social impact.

While intensive, our investment selection process is only the beginning of our extensive four- to eight- year relationship with organizations in which we invest. Once an organization becomes part of our portfolio, we provide multi-year financial support to increase organizational capacity and highly engaged strategic support to anticipate and plan for the challenges organizations face as they grow.

Eligibility Guidelines

New Profit believes that it is uniquely positioned to help propel a specific subset of nonprofit organizations along a growth trajectory aimed at solving social problems. Given our fund's strategy and our commitment to engaging deeply with each social entrepreneur by dedicating significant staff time and resources across a four- to eight- year investment, New Profit is unable to consider many outstanding organizations for investment.

It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.
