Potential donors should consider the following:

• New Profit's Board of Directors covers our organizational overhead, meaning donors bear no portion of our operating costs. Fully 100 percent of every donation goes directly to the organizations in our portfolio.
• New Profit leverages donor dollars by adding management assistance and support services. Our team of portfolio managers reviews more than 300 organizations each year to identify a few leading social innovations with the potential for transformative and widespread impact. We evaluate organizations using a rigorous due diligence process that tests the strength of their programs, capacity for growth, and leadership, alongside other critical factors.
  
  Once we have accepted an organization into our portfolio, we combine a multi-year unrestricted grant (typically $1 million over four years) with strategic support to quickly and efficiently grow the organization and maximize its impact. Every portfolio organization is also paired with a New Profit portfolio manager who assumes a board seat with the organization and works directly with the CEO on strategic issues to help foster growth and impact.
